Volunteering
Volunteers and assistants are part of what make the Outlook Organisation so special and are fundamental to the courses. The organisation is run by volunteers on a project basis. Project teams include Essence, Outlook and Fundraising.
Assisting on a course is an opportunity available to those who have previously completed the course as a participant. If you would like to assist and/or be part of a project team please register your interest below;
Assisting
Previous participants assist because assisting gives the opportunity to revisit the course contents, which in turn deepens their own course understanding. It also allows them to support the training and to experience the pleasure of working as part of a truly dedicated and supportive team.
Skills and experiences that assistants value include:
Delegation and supervision
Speaking to small and large groups
Acting with integrity
Team work
Assigning and overseeing tasks
Team briefing, motivation and management
Problem solving
Facilitation
Time management,
Assertiveness
Giving and receiving effective feedback.
